The Gold Visa program, often associated with investment-based residency schemes, has been a topic of interest in relation to former U.S. President Donald Trump . While Trump himself did not obtain a Gold Visa, his real estate empire and business ventures have benefited from such programs in various countries. Wealthy foreign investors, particularly from China, Russia, and the Middle East, have reportedly used EB-5 visas —a U.S. counterpart to the Gold Visa—to invest in Trump-branded properties in exchange for residency in the United States. Additionally, Trump’s stance on immigration policies, despite tightening restrictions on certain visa categories, did not directly impact investment-based visa programs, which continued to attract affluent individuals seeking residency through economic contributions.
