A proud homegrown leader, Joella was born and raised on Oʻahu and is a graduate of Moanalua High School. Today, Joella is passionate about bringing that mainland expertise back to the islands. Through Branding Aloha, she helps businesses, nonprofits, hospitality brands, and entrepreneurs build brands that people genuinely connect with. She believes exceptional branding goes far beyond beautiful design or clever marketing - it begins with understanding people, culture, and community. By leading with authenticity, purpose, and strategy, she helps organizations create brands that people trust, remember, and enthusiastically recommend. Throughout her career, Joella has partnered with startups, small businesses, government agencies, nonprofits, and nationally recognized organizations. Her experience spans strategic branding, multicultural marketing, experiential marketing, digital marketing, public affairs, tourism, hospitality, and community engagement. She has learned that the most successful organizations don't simply sell products or services—they create meaningful relationships, foster loyalty, and inspire lasting brand love. Joella is also passionate about entrepreneurship, mentorship, leadership, and multicultural communications. She believes the spirit of aloha is more than a Hawaiʻi tradition - it's a business philosophy centered on respect, relationships, generosity, and genuine human connection. Whether speaking on branding, leadership, marketing, entrepreneurship, or the intersection of culture and business, Joella shares practical strategies, real-world experiences, and actionable insights that help organizations grow while staying true to who they are.
