Episode description and notes
What happens when an unexpected experience changes the direction of your life? In this episode of Spiritual Awakening 101, Daniel Lucas welcomes Mr. Herman Petrick, an energy healing practitioner with nearly 15 years of experience, to explore the personal journey that led him toward a spiritual calling he never anticipated. Raised in a Christian household in the United States, Herman began exploring other spiritual traditions in his early forties. Reading about the Hindu chakra system sparked his curiosity about the body, energy, and different ways of understanding spiritual experience. He shares a pivotal encounter after moving to New Zealand. While visiting a friend who reported distressing nightmares and what she believed were dark energies in her home, Herman felt compelled to intervene. He recounts asking whatever might be present to leave. When his friend later told him the disturbances had stopped, he interpreted the experience as a turning point that inspired further study. Through Herman's personal account, this conversation explores belief, intuition, spiritual curiosity, and the search for purpose. His experiences and interpretations offer listeners an opportunity to reflect on how unexpected moments can shape a person's understanding of their path. Listen with curiosity. Reflect on the story. Explore what it means to recognize a calling.
